“Light is the left hand of darkness
and darkness the right hand of light.
Two are one, life and death, lying
together like lovers in Kemmer,
like hands joined together,
like the end and the way.”
― Ursula K. Le Guin (October 21, 1929 – January 22, 2018),
The Left Hand of Darkness

So, she, I didn’t know who once said “the creative adult is the child who has survived” has passed away…

Yes, she passed away… So as to quote you, my inner child has always had ceremonies over her magic, clever and astounding words.
Thank you!

Manet’s painting further illustrates how light and dark belong to each other. I enjoyed this, it’s so true, I feel.

January is a trying month for me, what with the struggle of light vs darkness.
Another lovely post.

They used to have a superb Manet exhibit at the Chicago Art Institute. I was privileged to view it several times. I appreciate your choice of artwork.

I still have a Manet coffee mug souvenir, if you’d like it.

Ha! I try, sometimes. I do respect your poetry, though, which is probably more important. Thank you for writing.

Often when I look at the moon in the night sky I think, “Well, they haven’t screwed that up yet… to the naked eye it’s still the same it’s been since ancient times…” Such beautiful ivory. Natural is always best, imo.
In a thousand years, will we see lights on the dark side, glinting chrome on the light? Let’s enjoy the now! 🙂

If the happiness of the world and of my heart can be enclosed in one image, that will be the full moon in the night sky, or the dim moon in the morning sky….
If I still see it and feel it, I know I am on the right side of things..
Maybe not just ivory, ivory light and glow.
My thoughts exactly 🙂
Thank you!!!

I actually intended to post that as a comment to your last post. But I’m using that TEAM VIEWER thing and it’s a bit laggy. So I got confused. 🙂 Looking forward to more posts from you! xx
