I like the idea of ‘forging beauty’; it implies it is not something easy to achieve. Physically, I look at the snow covered hills around me this morning and cannot think this resulted by chance, it was surely forged with a great deal of effort. Inner beauty does, it seems to me, take even more forging to achieve.
Moving to the more conventional thought, did you know that some of the world’s best steel forgers are right here in Yorkshire, almost all that is left of the steel industry which made Sheffield world leaders?
